Thought of mountain biking in the Alps

Hi and welcome to our new  website. We’ve given it a whole new look and feel for 2009, and hopefully it’s now even easier to find the info you need.

At the very top of the screen there’s a neat drop down menu to guide you through the major areas of the site and you’ll find static links to individual pages on the left.

This area will usually contain news such as this so please come back to visit us frequently for updates, stories and special offers.  If you click on the “NEWS” link above you can access older items, stories and articles that may be of interest or use the search bar.

Defi Foly Weekend

The ski season is finally over here and the ski lifts closed on the 25th. The traditional end of season Defy Foly competition was held as usual on the last day as well. It’s completely mad! Trying to ski, snowboard or monoski across the lake and obviously end up in the freezing cold water. Here are a couple of videos of the highlights with footage of the fancy dress section at the end. Enjoy…..

Easter Weekend

Spring has finally arrived, the snow is melting fast and I’ve had to mow the lawn!!!

But the lifts are still open and there’s some excellent spring snow still to be had if you know where to look. We’ll be out ski touring this week but thoughts are now turning to the Summer.

Our gliders, mountain bikes and summer toys have been dusted off ready to roll. We we’re down at the Annecy Paragliding Expo yesterday to look at the latest gadgets and wings but unfortunately conditions we’re far from ideal so we decided not to bother aviating even though a few hardy souls and tandems were out.

We’re looking forward to trying the new Bun-J-Ride here in Saint Jean it’s a unique new thrill designed with the help of A J Hackett (mr Bungee).

Amazing Snow Conditions

The road outside the Pre Fleuri

… and the snow keeps falling. It’s already been a fantastic year for snow and it just keeps coming.  We had to get on the chalet roof with shovels the other day as there was 120cm of snow up there!

The resort has gone back to normal after the half term madness so now we’ve got masses of the white stuff and there’s hardly anyone about to spoil it. Fresh tracks a plenty!!!

We’ve still got some availability for short breaks and week long skiing and snowboarding so why not check out skyscanner.net for cheap flights to Geneva and give us a call on 0800 652 3977 or email info@lastresort.info to see if we can fit you in.
