Cycling and Road Biking Holidays
We're situated on a regular section of the Tour de France, normally it passes within yards of the chalet and last year overnighted 3km away in Grand Bornand. Spectate the tour, follow the route or make up your own. The roads around here are well maintained with routes and times marked on road signs! You can take it easy - cycling round lake Annecy for example or go for it on one of the many mountain passes.
Do your Own Thing
You can ride directly from the chalet to explore the area under your own steam. Take it easy or ride as hard as you like, combine it with other activities or a bit of relaxing. We don't have guides but can supply maps, suggest routes and can provide local transport. Use us as a comfortable base where you can relax and recharge your batteries with like-minded people, in a fantastic biking area.
Bringing Your Own Bike
Getting here is a breeze and it's easy to get your hardware here too. If you're driving, no worries, and flying is straight forward, (see the travel page) a lot of airlines don't charge extra for bikes. Just take the pedals off, turn the handle bars, let the tyres down and ideally box or bag it. Make sure it's covered on your travel or home insurance.
If you want to travel light there is a selection of good quality bikes available to hire at sensible prices. If you want something special let us know in advance.
