our 12th year here, offering top quality catered and self-catered
accommodation for adventure holidays, paragliding holidays, ski and snowboard holidays
or for chilling out and enjoying the mountains and the mass of
other sports in the area.
Because we're a small company we can concentrate on personal
service and attention to detail.

I stayed at the Last Resort in Grand Bornand - it's even more impressive than their website suggested. The chalet was superb as was the restaurant quality food...........

Lisa Jonsson
A display artist from Stockholm that moved to Scandinavia’s biggest ski resort and now can´t imagine not living close to a mountain…
Lisa Jönsson found her passion in life when she moved to Åre 12 years ago, the mountains.
Over the years she has been downhill mountain biking, snowboarding and skiing, but the greatest love of them all is flying.
She started to paraglide in 1996 and now she doesn´t go anywhere in the world without her glider. “It´s more like a lifestyle then a hobby” she says.
Her career has always been in the hospitality business. Managing and running restaurants since she moved to Are and the last couple of years a luxurious 5 star Chalet/Hotel with conference facilities.
Stefan Jonsson
Stefan has lived for almost half a century! most of the time doing some kind of outdoor activity. Interested in almost everything that is connected to the mountains. He is a keen fly fisherman and has done a lot of walking in mountains all over the world. From Scandinavia to the Himalaya, Africa, South-America, and the Alps.
Living in the northern part of Sweden it is natural to do a lot of skiing, cross-country and backcountry-skiing are his favourites. His latest area of interest is paragliding that his partner Marie persuaded him to try; she’s already a devoted pilot herself.
Stefan has been a physiotherapist for the last twenty years, specializing in orthopaedic manual therapy, in Norway, Spain, and Saudi-Arabia. Very handy to have around in a sports chalet!
Early in his working life he worked at a mountain-hut cooking food for the walkers passing by, and has never forgotten the good feeling of meeting people in that environment. He’s now working at the Last Resort to experience the same good feeling.
Marie Wikström
Marie has been working for many years managing a youth recreation center, 
and for the last 10 years running an “Adventure high rope park” in mid Sweden. It´s been a combination of socialwork with young people, outdoor education, teambuilding for companies, and organizing events.
She has been a passionate skydiver for a long time and a member of the Swedish National Parachuting Team for 12 years. Since she stopped competing, paragliding is her new passion. She loves the outdoors and especially activities connected to the mountains. If she´s not out flying she is probably out climbing or skiing. Another big interest is cooking food and finding new exciting recipes.
