Skiing Holidays

Skiing holidays in La Clusaz and Le Grand Bornand - the Espace Aravis have something to please everyone from groomed motorways to tough moguls and miles of offpiste.

The Beauregard plateau is perfect for beginners it's altitude means that you can learn to ski even at Easter in the spring sunshine.

There are miles of well groomed blues, reds and some demanding black runs for intermediate and advanced skiers. Plus the steep bowls of La Balme and La Torchere offer easily accessible high level offpiste. The north facing aspect of these bowls keeps the snow in excellent condition throughout the season. You can also hire a guide who can show you the best places to find fresh, untracked snow.

For the more adventurous the region is renowned for it's "Ski de Randonee" or ski touring possibilities. Attach a pair of skins and binding converters to discover a whole new dimension of offpiste away from the lift systems. For this we recommend you book the services of a qualified mountain guide who will normally provide all of the safety equipment including avalanche transceivers.

Why not have a go at Snowblading after a few wobbling runs you will be amazed at how fast and how much fun they are. You can also try out the latest carving skis or Telemarking.

La Clusaz, Grand Bornand and St Jean de Sixt are traditional farming villages which have evolved into ski resorts, in fact La Clusaz is the second oldest resort in France and one of the favourite skiing holiday destinations for the French. The Aravis is an ideal place for those who want to get away from the concrete package tour resorts and and surly waiters and experience a skiing holiday where you are truly welcomed by the locals.

In the last few years a massive amount has been invested in the Skiing infrastructure with many new high speed lifts and a huge network of snow cannon to guarantee good snow cover up until the end of April. With 220km of piste and with the replacement of the Beauregard cable car with a high speed gondola the last big bottleneck has been removed and big queues are very rare even in high season.

Combine this great area, friendly locals, excellent snow record and our years of experience, we're sure you'll have a fantastic skiing holiday with excellent accommodation, professional instruction, top class equipment and no hassle.

Non skiers can also have a great time with the many other activities which include ice skating, swimming, snow shoeing, cross country skiing, paragliding and much more.
