Off Piste Snowboarding

Off piste Snowboarding in France

Whilst there are lots of off piste areas accessible from the lift system, it's possible with a little effort and a few minutes walking to find huge bowls like the Combe de Bellachat that are often empty and untracked. It's worth hiring a mountain guide to take you to these hidden gems. So give us a call if you would like us to arrange something different.

Snowboard Parks and Freestyle

La Clusaz has one of the largest dedicated snowboard parks in France with a massive halfpipe, jumps, rails, tables and quarter pipes. Not to be outdone the team at Le Grand Bornand also has been working all summer to create an even better freestyle snow park. It now covers 480000sq metres and has it's own lift. The boarder cross track and a halfpipe have been extended and new rails, tables and kickers added. For more info and a webcam have a look at the GB website.

Aravis Challenge offer freestyle ski & board lessons to get big air both in the park and freeriding on the mountain.

Advanced Snowboarding courses

For the even more adventurous the region is renowned for it's "Randonee" or touring possibilities. with a pair of snow shoes you can discover a whole new dimension of offpiste away from the lift systems. We organise qualified mountain guides who will take you to some spectacular places. Aravis Challenge - a team of offpiste experts including former British team coach Yann Quennet know the area intimately and can find powder almost all season.

We can provide safety equipment including avalanche transceivers and training in their use. Give us a call to organise a stunning snowboard trip
